Msida Marina is open in Malta Living: the pontoons, the kiosk and your boat
Msida Marina is open in Malta Living, the free life sim you play in your browser. The building site by the creek in Msida has become a yacht marina you can walk into: pontoons of sailboats and RIBs, a marina office, a kiosk, and the place where your own boat waits at her berth.

Getting there
Open Get around on your phone, search for "marina" and tap Msida Marina. It sits on the creek in Msida, a short walk from the University and the skatepark, and it's always open. You come in along the quay, with the office and the kiosk on your left and the boats in front of you.
What to do there
- The marina office. Read the berth board, where Carmen writes every boat's name in neat capitals, or check the sea forecast.
- The kiosk. A coffee for €1.80, a cold drink for €2.20 or a gelato on the quay wall for €3. Jules serves the skippers first: they're up at five.
- The quay. Walk the pontoons reading the boats' names, take a photo of the masts, and at sunset watch the creek turn gold, then pink.
- The berths. Look round the boats: luzzus, RIBs, a sailboat and a motor yacht, nose to tail.
Ray the skipper is on the pontoon, coiling a rope. Tap him for a chat. He takes every boat out for now, so you sit back while he steers. Like the staff at every place, he and the others say hello and have their own lines.
Your boat at her berth
Bought a luzzu, a RIB or a sailboat and berthed her at Msida? (How to buy one: boats and yachts.) She's here, in the water, at a berth of her size. The marina's card on the panel names her, with her own berth number, the same every visit. If she owes her week of berth and insurance, the card says she's docked and takes you straight to Pay in Cars → Boats.
No boat yet? The card says what berths here, and See the boats opens Cars on its Boats chip, with all five boats and their prices.
Going out, boat parties and chartering her out come next, one by one, each on her card as it arrives.
What's coming
Next come Portomaso Marina for motor yachts, and berths in the Grand Harbour at Birgu and at Mġarr in Gozo. Then going out on the water: the Blue Lagoon, the sunset off Sliema, and fishing off Marsaxlokk in a luzzu. After that, boat parties with your friends aboard. Until then, the marina is a good place to meet: the kiosk, the sunset and the boats make it an easy spot to hang out after work. Getting there is covered in cars, bikes and scooters. New to the game? Start with the Malta life simulator guide. The real marina is run by Transport Malta.
Questions people ask
Is Msida Marina open at night?
Yes, it's always open, like every new place. The sunset over the creek is the best time to visit.

Not yet. Going out on the water comes in the next steps; for now your boat waits at her berth.
Where's my motor yacht?
Motor yachts berth at Portomaso, which opens next. Superyachts berth in the Grand Harbour, and any boat can berth at Mġarr.
Does the marina cost anything to visit?
No. Walking the pontoons, the berth board, the photo and the sunset are free. Only the kiosk costs money.
