A bit jealous: light jealousy in Malta Living
Jealousy in a life sim can go wrong fast: meters, accusations, punishments. In Malta Living, the free life sim of Malta you play in your browser, it's kept light, the way the classic life simulation games did it. If your partner hugs someone else right in front of you, you might feel a bit jealous for a few minutes. That's all it is: a feeling, and a playful moment you can do something with.

When it happens
Only for what you see with your own eyes. You have to be in the same room as your partner, right now, when they hug, hold hands with or kiss someone else, or when a date of theirs begins there. It never comes from a distance, a notification or a log, and the game never tells you what your partner did anywhere else. Being hugged doesn't count: only the one who made the move.
What you feel
"💚 A bit jealous" shows in your top bar for 10 minutes, and your Fun dips a little. Nothing else changes. Your friendship, your romance, your partners and your money all stay exactly as they were, and nothing is blocked. It happens at most once an hour, so a busy party doesn't turn into a string of moods.
Three chips, 20 seconds
As it starts, a small sheet gives you three chips for 20 seconds. Pick one, or none:
- Cut in. Your partner gets "Can I steal you?" with Yes or Not now. Yes is a little moment: they walk over and a 💃 shows over the two of you. Only you two see it, and nothing your partner was doing is undone. Not now comes back to you quietly.
- Wink. Your partner gets one friendly line: "Oi, I saw that 👀". You can't type anything into it.
- Shrug. The mood ends at once, and you get a little Fun back.
Cut in and Wink only work while your partner is still in the room.
Who sees what
You see your own mood. Your partner sees a Cut in or a Wink only if you send one, and never why. The person they hugged sees nothing, and neither does anyone else in the room. There's no jealousy meter, no "caught" card, no history of where anyone has been, and nothing about money or gifts.
Turning it off
Some players have more than one partner (up to three, always in the open), and some just don't want it. In the Phone's Settings, under Privacy, Jealous moments is on until you turn it off. It's your own switch, for yourself only. Turning it off also ends a mood that's already going, with no change to your Fun.
Why it works this way
Romance in Malta Living is built from small things you do together: a spark, a flirt and a date, then holding hands and being partners. A flicker of jealousy makes those feel real, but it should never become a tool against someone. So it only starts from what you see, it's short, it can't hurt anything you've built, and the only things you can do with it are playful.
Kept kind, and kept safe
Romance is only between players, and every account has said it's 18 or over. Saying Not interested or blocking someone ends things the same quiet way as always. New here? Your first hello goes to a real player, and friends, clubs and Gossip are where it all starts. The whole game is in the Malta life simulator guide.
Questions people ask
Does jealousy hurt my friendship or romance?
No. Only your Fun dips a little for the 10 minutes, and Shrug gives some back. Friendship, romance, partners and money never change.
Will my partner know I was jealous?
Only if you Cut in or Wink, and even then they never see why. If you Shrug or do nothing, nobody knows.
Can I turn it off?
Yes. Phone, Settings, Privacy: Jealous moments. It's on until you turn it off, and it only changes things for you.
