Boat parties in Malta Living: a sunset cruise with your friends

By

A boat party is the best night out in Malta Living, the free life sim you play in your browser. If you own a boat, you can now throw a party on her, invite your friends, and fill her deck: a sunset cruise, a lagoon day party, a night at anchor, or a birthday on board.

A boat party on a phone: the party's card for a guest, how many are aboard, and Chip in €5 for the drinks

Throw it

Go to where your boat waits: her marina, the Birgu Waterfront, Mġarr, or your home's jetty. (No boat yet? See boats and yachts.) On her card, tap Boat party and pick:

  • What kind of night. A sunset cruise, out at golden hour and back after dark. A lagoon day party off Comino, with a swim and music. A night at anchor with lights on the water, for a sailboat and up. Or a birthday on board, with a cake, a toast and the photo.
  • When. In 15 minutes, in an hour, tonight at 20:00, or tomorrow at 20:00.

Tap Throw it. It costs her fuel for the trip, and nothing more: drinks on the boat are free, as at a home party. Change your mind? You get the fuel back if you call it off at least 2 hours before.

Invite your friends

As soon as it's booked, the invite sheet opens. Search anyone, pick your friends, and send. Each one gets the party's card in your chat, with the boat, the night and the time. Her card on the panel shows the party too, with Invite people for anyone you forgot.

Aboard

When it starts, everyone you invited who comes to her berth is aboard. Your boat's seats are the limit: four on a luzzu, six on a RIB, eight on a sailboat, twelve on a motor yacht, thirty on a superyacht. The first friends to arrive take the seats, and anyone after that sees Full aboard. The party runs for half an hour and ends like any party, with its recap, the photo, and a bit more Fun and Social for everyone who came.

Chip in

A guest aboard can Chip in €5 for the drinks, once a party. It goes straight to the host, from the guest's earned money, with the usual small transfer fee, the same as at a party at home. The host sees who chipped in.

Your boat while it's booked

While she has a party booked, your boat stays put: you can't sell her or move her to or from your jetty until it's over. If she's gone before it starts, the party is called off.

What's coming

Next is the deck as a room of its own: the party aboard, the horn when the vibe peaks, and everyone jumping in. Then the superyacht at Portomaso, for anyone to rent for a party of thirty. For trips on your own, see out on the water. New to the game? Start with the Malta life simulator guide. Sunset cruises are a Maltese summer favourite (Wikipedia: Tourism in Malta).
