Draw your own tattoo, or a picture for your wall, in Malta Living

By

Want a tattoo nobody else has? Now you can draw your own tattoo at Ink Studio in Malta Living, the free life sim of real Malta played in your browser. The same pad makes a picture for your wall at home, framed and hung where your friends will see it when they visit.

Ink Studio's drawing pad on a phone: two purple lines drawn with the mirror on, the eight colours, the pens, undo and Done

The pad

At Ink Studio, tap Draw your own and pick what it's for: a tattoo, or your wall. Then draw with your finger on a square pad. There are eight bold colours, three pens (thin, thick and fill), undo, and a mirror line down the middle for a symmetrical design, the way a lot of real flash tattoo is drawn. It's lines and shapes only, never an uploaded picture, so what you wear is something you made. Keep it bold and simple: a tattoo is small on your character, and a few strong lines read better than a lot of fine ones. The pad tells you if a drawing has too many lines, and undo takes the last one away (with its mirror, if the mirror was on). You can make up to three drawings a day.

Wear it

A tattoo of your own design costs €30 more than one from the flash wall: small €90, medium €140, large €230. From there it's the same as any tattoo at Ink Studio: pick the spot, lie down, keep the needle steady, and it shows on your character wherever your skin does.

Frame it

A drawing for your wall is framed at the studio: small €25, medium €40, large €60, in wood, black, gold or no frame at all (changing the frame is free). It goes to Your stuff, and you hang it on any wall at home the way you place any other piece (see furnish your home). Friends who visit see it on your wall, and tapping it shows whose it is. Want a set? Draw three, frame them small, medium and large, and hang them in a row over the sofa.

The rules

No words, no logos and no real people. Anyone who sees a drawing, on someone's skin or on their wall, can report it. A reported drawing is hidden from everyone but its owner until a moderator looks; if it's fine it comes back for good, and if it's taken down it goes, along with any tattoo of it. A report from an account less than a week old is counted but hides nothing, and three take-downs in a week pause your drawing for seven days. Moderators and reports explains how the team looks after the game, and the Malta life simulator guide covers the rest of the island. Play Malta Living free and head to Ink Studio.

Questions people ask

Can I draw my own tattoo in Malta Living?

Yes. At Ink Studio, tap Draw your own, draw it with your finger, and it's inked like any other tattoo, for €30 more than a design from the wall.

Can I hang my own drawing at home?

Yes. Frame it at Ink Studio (from €25), and it goes to Your stuff to place on any wall of your home.

What happens if someone reports my drawing?

It's hidden from others until a moderator looks. If it breaks the rules (words, logos, real people, anything rude or hateful) it's taken down.
