Hypercars in Malta Living: a McLaren, a Lamborghini and a Bugatti
Something to save for. Malta Living now has hypercars in a life sim built around real Malta: the Cars app's Shop ends with a fourth shelf, Hypercars, with three of the fastest things you could ever park in Sliema. And every car and bike in the game, from a used Micra to the Porsche, has a new polished look.

The three hypercars
Open Cars on your phone and scroll to the end of the Shop. After Start here, Earn with it and the Dream garage comes Hypercars:
- McLaren 750S, in papaya orange: €250,000, 18c a km.
- Lamborghini Revuelto, in green: €400,000, 24c a km.
- Bugatti Chiron Sport, in blue: €900,000, 35c a km.
These are game prices, a ladder above the €179,937 Porsche 911, not the real ones, which run into the millions. Real names, no badges or logos: each is drawn by us as a low wedge with a wing.
None of them works as a cab: a hypercar is for you, not for a driver on the airport run. If you want a car that pays its way, the cars, bikes and scooters guide shows which ones do.
What a hypercar costs to keep
A hypercar pays its week like any car, every Saturday at 18:00, one line in your Bank: insurance, service and road licence. That's a 52nd of a year's insurance (2.5% of the price), its service (1%) and the road licence, which for each of the three is the top band, €525 a year, the same as the X5 and the Porsche. In Malta the road licence goes by the car's CO2 and age, which is why a big petrol engine sits at the top (Transport Malta).
So a week comes to about:
- €178 for the McLaren;
- €279 for the Lamborghini;
- €616 for the Bugatti.
If you can't pay, nothing is taken from you: the car stays parked until you do. Like every car, it loses 15% the moment you drive it away, then a little each day, so a hypercar is something to enjoy, not an investment. For that, there's property and business in Invest.
Every car in a new shine
The other half of this update is how cars look. Until now most cars shared one blocky hatchback shape and only the paint told them apart. Now there are five bodies of our own:
- a city hatch (the Micra, the Polo, the Picanto and the rest);
- a saloon (the Tesla and the BYD Seal);
- a sports coupé (the Porsche);
- an SUV with roof rails (the X5 and the Audi Q8);
- the supercar wedge (the three hypercars).
Each one is in polished paint that catches the light. The bikes have new models too: the e-scooter, the bicycle, the e-bike and the red 125cc.
It's the same model everywhere you see your car:
- the picture in the Shop and in My garage;
- standing in your parking at home, where friends who visit see it;
- under you as you drive across the map.
The traffic on the roads uses them too, so the island's streets look more like the real ones: a few hatchbacks, a saloon, the odd SUV.
A big moment
Buying one is a moment worth sharing. Like the Porsche or a penthouse at Pender Place, each hypercar has its own moment card for your profile and Gossip. Buy the Bugatti and the card says what everyone in Malta already knows: it's the fastest car on the island, and it's still stuck in Marsa traffic.

Questions people ask
Can I buy a Bugatti in Malta Living?
Yes. The Bugatti Chiron Sport is on the Hypercars shelf in Cars for €900,000 in game euros, next to the McLaren 750S at €250,000 and the Lamborghini Revuelto at €400,000.
Can a hypercar work as a cab?
No. None of the three hypercars can be sent out as a cab. Cars that can, from the Toyota Vitz to the Tesla, say so on their card in the Shop.
How much does a hypercar cost to run each week?
About €178 for the McLaren, €279 for the Lamborghini and €616 for the Bugatti, paid every Saturday at 18:00. Fuel is extra each time you drive: 18c, 24c or 35c a km.
Why are the hypercar prices lower than in real life?
They're game prices, set as a ladder above the Porsche 911 so they're something players can save towards. Every other car in the game keeps the price it has on the island today.
