Housemates at the palazzo: share the house with friends
The palazzo at Ta' Xbiex is the biggest home on the ladder, with three bedrooms besides the master suite. Now you can share a house with friends: invite up to three of them to move in, a room each, and choose what they pay.

Sharing the house
Rent (or own) the palazzo, then open Homes and tap 👥 Share the house. Two choices:
- Which rooms to share. The two guest rooms and the spare room each have a switch. The master suite is always yours.
- What housemates pay. Pick one setting for the whole house:
- 🎁 Free: they pay nothing, and you pay the €4,500 a week as you do now.
- ➗ Equal share: everyone, you included, pays the same: €2,250 each for two, €1,500 for three, €1,125 for four. The bills split the same way.
- ✍️ Set amount: a weekly amount in €50 steps, never more than an equal share. You pay the rest, and the bills.
The sheet shows what each housemate and you would pay before you save.
Inviting someone
Tap + Invite and pick from the people you know. They get a card in your chat with their room and what they'd pay. There's no deposit or agent's fee, because you hold the lease. An invite lasts 48 hours.
On their side, See the room opens the move: do it yourself for some Energy, or get the movers for €100. Their own furniture waits in storage while they live there and comes with them when they go. The house's furniture is yours, and only you can change it.
Paying the rent
Every Saturday at 18:00, each of you pays your own part straight to the landlord. Nobody pays anybody else, and nobody is ever asked to cover a housemate who can't pay. Someone who falls behind gets the usual week's grace, then moves to their cheapest home, owing nothing, and the rest of you carry on.
Changing what housemates pay is simple: paying less starts this Saturday. Paying more always waits a full week, and everyone gets a message first, so they can stay or move out.
Moving out
Housemates can leave any time, as with any move. If you'd like someone to go, tap Ask to leave: they get 7 days, and you can take it back. If you move out yourself, whoever has lived there longest is offered the lease, so the house can stay together.
Each bedroom is its sleeper's: only you sleep in the master suite, and only your housemate sleeps in theirs. The rest of the palazzo, from the court and the garden's games to the courtyard, is everyone's.
Where it fits
Housemates are part of the palazzo, the top home on the ladder; the palazzo's guide covers its floors and rooms, and style packs furnish a room in one go. A full house makes the best house parties.
