Partners in Malta Living: up to three, always in the open
Partners in a life sim should mean something, and nobody should be fooled. Romance in Malta Living, the free life sim of Malta you play in your browser, now has a next step after dating: partners. As in any good life simulation game, it grows out of what the two of you already did together. You spark, you flirt, you go on a date (all in the romance guide), and once you're dating at romance 40, their card asks the question for you.

Asking to be partners
When you're dating someone and your romance reaches 40, a pink card appears under the bars on their card: Ask them to be your partner. They decide. If they say yes, you're partners, and it shows on both your cards.
Up to three, never hidden
You can have up to three partners at once, and they're always in the open. Your card shows your partners to everyone who opens it, on a small dark chip under your name. It isn't a setting and it can't be hidden. Before anyone says yes, the ask names the partners you already have, so nobody is ever misled. When someone adds a partner, their other partners get one plain line in Updates, and nothing else.
Ending it, kindly
Either of you can end it from the ··· on their card. The game asks once: they'll be told kindly, with no reason, and you'll stay friends. They get one line in Updates, with no pop-up, and nobody else is told. There's no "ex" label anywhere. Romance goes back to 20, your friendship stays exactly as it was, and for seven days neither of you can ask the other out or spark. After a new date you're dating again.
Why it works this way
Being partners is a step two people take together, so it waits until you've been on a date and your romance has grown. It never comes from friendship alone, and nobody can be asked by a stranger. Showing partners to everyone keeps it honest: if someone has two partners already, you know before you say yes, and so do they. Endings stay small on purpose, so trying again never feels like losing the game.
Kept kind, and kept safe
Romance is only between players, and every account has said it's 18 or over. Saying Not interested ends a partnership the same quiet way, and so does a block. Everything stays playful: holding hands, a kiss bubble, a dinner for two.
New here? Your first hello goes to a real player, and every friendship starts there. The whole game is in the Malta life simulator guide.
Questions people ask
Can I hide who my partners are?
No. Partners are always in the open: they show on your card for everyone, and every ask names them. That way nobody is misled.
What happens when a partner ends it?
You get one kind line in Updates, with no reason and no pop-up. You stay friends, romance goes back to 20, and nobody else is told.
How many partners can I have?
Up to three at once. At three, the ask to be partners doesn't show on anyone's card until one ends.
