Book a birthday party at the Eden in Malta Living
A birthday party game is only fun if your real friends turn up. In Malta Living, the free life sim you play in your browser, you can now book a friend's birthday at the Eden, the bowling alley on St George's Bay: two lanes, food for the table and a cake, with the invites sent in one go. New here? Start with our guide to the Malta life simulator.

Tell Rico
Go to the Eden, tap Bowling, and Rico at the shoe desk asks how many of you there are. One of the answers is 🎂 "I want to book a birthday". It opens the booking right there in the Eden's card.
Type your friend's username, or leave it empty if it's your own party. Pick a day this week and a time on the hour, from midday to 23:00, at least half an hour from now. Times that are already booked are greyed out: lanes 9 and 10 take one party at a time, so two birthdays never share them.
What you get for €60
The booking is €60 in all: the two lanes, and party food for the table (burgers, fries and a cake with candles), which is €40 of it. Up to 12 friends can come. It's one line in your Bank, "The Eden: a birthday booking". You pay, not the birthday friend, and as with all spending, bought euros go first.
Invite everyone in one go
As soon as it's booked, the party's invite sheet opens: the same one you use for a house party. Pick people, groups and clubs, and send once. Your friend gets the party's card in your chat with them ("@ana booked your birthday at the Eden"), and everyone you invite gets a card with the day and time. Each taps 🎉 I'm coming or Can't make it, and your sheet shows how many said yes.
Plans change. You can call it off for the full price back until 2 hours before; the sheet and the card both say until when. After that you can still call it off, but the Eden has started cooking, so nothing comes back.
Half an hour before, everyone who said yes gets a reminder with a one-tap Go there, so nobody has to work out the bus.
The lanes light up
At the time, the party starts on its own, even if you're running late. The Eden counts who's there: friends you invited who have arrived, not anyone still on the bus, and not strangers who happen to be bowling next door.
With 3 or more friends there, lanes 9–10 light up with the birthday friend's name in pink neon, the cake comes out by the lanes, and everyone there gets the news. The party runs for 30 minutes like any party: Fun and Social for everyone who came, closer friendships, and a group photo to end it.
If the birthday friend can't make it (maybe they weren't online), the party still goes ahead for everyone else, and the photo says "Missing you, @ana".
When fewer than 3 come
It happens. If fewer than 3 friends are there at the start, the booking turns into an ordinary lane: no neon, no cake and no group photo, and the €40 for the food comes back to whoever paid, once, the bought part as bought euros. Nobody pays for the people who didn't show.
Why we built it
A birthday is a real moment between real people, and the best nights out in Malta often start in St Julian's. We wanted one in the game that feels like the real thing: someone books it, everyone's asked, and when the name lights up you know your friends came. Start playing and book one for someone this week.
Questions people ask
How much does a birthday at the Eden cost?
€60 in all: two lanes and party food for the table, €40 of which is the food. You pay when you book. It's free to call off until 2 hours before.
Can I book a birthday for a friend who's offline?
Yes. They get the party's card in your chat with them whenever they come back. If they don't make it, everyone else still plays, and the group photo says "Missing you".
What happens if only one or two friends come?
It becomes an ordinary lane, with no cake or photo, and the €40 for the food comes back to you once.
