Daily Lookout: a small hunt beyond the rooftops
There is something to look for beyond your own room. Daily Lookout is a daily telescope hunt in Malta Living: three Maltese flags, one changing clue and a small reward for finding the whole set. The view is wider, so you can take in more of the city before zooming closer. You can stop halfway through and return later without starting again.
It begins with a piece of furniture, rather than another phone app. If you already have a telescope placed at home, tap it and choose Daily Lookout. Otherwise, open Buy, find the Skills tab and get the €80 telescope. Place it where you can reach it. Our guide to furnishing your home explains placing and moving pieces.

Three flags and one clue
Each set has three small Maltese flags on the city’s rooftops and several other objects on rooftops or water. They belong to the scenery, so the wide view will not hand you large floating targets. Read the clue before you begin. It might ask for a boat with a red sail, a striped lighthouse, a golden bell or a sun-shaped sign. Only the object named by today's clue counts alongside the flags.
Drag the panorama to look left, right, up or down. Pinch with two fingers to zoom, or use the arrow and zoom buttons. Zoom out to explore the neighbourhood, then look closer at the roofs and harbour. Water tanks, balconies and washing give the little objects their scale. Buildings stay solid: you cannot inspect an object through a wall.
At 2.5× zoom or closer, a plain reticle appears. Centre a flag or the object you think matches the clue, then choose Inspect. Hints start collapsed so the city stays clear. Choose Hint or tap any unfinished target in the bottom strip to read its hint beside the controls. Hide hint closes it again. Each hint explains both what the object looks like and where to look: a flag beside a roof tank, for example, or a red-and-white tower by the water. If you are stuck, Show area turns the telescope towards a broad neighbourhood and marks a search area, closing the hint card so you can look. It does not count as a find; you still bring the object into the aiming box and choose Inspect. Only a confirmed find gets a small tick. The four icons below the view show your saved flags and clue. You can zoom as far as 6× when you want a more careful look.
A wrong choice does not take money away. Read the clue again and keep looking. This is a quiet observation game: there is no countdown to beat, and you do not have to hurry through the set in a single visit.
A little reward, saved properly
Finding all three flags and the clue pays €10 of game money. The server checks every find and adds the reward to the wallet when the set is complete. Opening the view does not pay anything, and finding only part of the set does not pay a partial reward.
The limit is one completed set per account per Malta day. Another device, another telescope or a change of home does not create another payment. Starting another life on the same day does not reset it either. You can see when today's reward has already been collected.
Each confirmed find is saved. Tap Back to room, do something else and return through the telescope when you want to finish. Your character's needs keep changing as usual, so a long look is still part of an ordinary day. For other ways to build a wallet, see daily missions and earning money.
A fresh set tomorrow
The hunt follows the calendar in Malta. At midnight, the next day's arrangement becomes available and the clue moves to the next object. Reopen Daily Lookout to begin that set. A clock change does not create an extra reward in the repeated hour.
The ordinary Look through the telescope option is still there. Its 30-second look gives Fun and Culture through the existing home activity rules. Daily Lookout is the separate, untimed hunt. You can also try the other games in Malta Living when you fancy a different kind of break.

Questions people ask
Do I need to buy another telescope every day?
No. One placed telescope is enough. Open Daily Lookout on it whenever you want to play the available set.
Can I finish a telescope hunt later?
Yes. Each confirmed find is saved for the current Malta day. Leave the view and return before midnight to continue the same set.
Why did a second completed look not pay another €10?
The reward belongs to the account and Malta day. Once collected, it stays collected across devices, homes and lives.
