Catch the tallinja bus in Malta Living

By

The tallinja bus in Malta Living starts at a stop. Pick your destination in Get around, or tap its card on the map, choose the bus, and go to the stop. The same boarding sheet opens from either place. For the island around it, read our Malta life simulator guide.

Wait, then board

The sheet separates the time at the stop from the time on board. These are short game seconds, not a live transport timetable. A slipping estimate changes in place. A full bus passes and the next one follows; if you miss the 20-second boarding window, another bus is due eight seconds later. You can leave the stop for free at any time before boarding. Reloading restores the wait instead of buying another ticket.

Tap Board when the bus arrives. The normal winter, summer and night fares stay the same. Your personalised tallinja card still makes every ordinary bus ride free. If the fare changes while you wait, you see the new price and confirm it before paying. Read about the phone's apps and the game's real places and game prices.

The game bus stop with a departure estimate and a free cancellation button

The boarding window gives you time to read the ticket choice. You do not need to keep tapping the countdown, and opening the same journey in another tab does not buy a second ticket. If you leave the game while waiting, your character stays at the origin. Come back to the stop to see the next departure, or leave it and choose another way to travel. A slow connection cannot board the bus on your behalf.

Visiting a friend's home uses the same stop. Waiting does not announce that you have arrived or admit you to their home. Boarding begins the ordinary visit journey, which still follows the host's current visiting rules.

Night journeys and small interruptions

Night buses are labelled from 23:00 until 05:00, using Malta time. Road incidents and bus delays share a short disruption limit. A signed diversion can change your journey, and someone you already know may be on board. Say hello or keep to yourself; neither choice costs money or earns a reward. Leave time to reach your next shift.

Tickets and inspectors

A paid ticket or tallinja card always passes inspection. Travelling without a ticket is a separate, clearly confirmed risk choice, available only if you can cover the €50 game-money fine. There is a one-in-four inspection chance. The receipt explains what happened and any fine has its own line in Bank. Ordinary boarding never chooses this risk for you.

Questions people ask

Does leaving a game bus stop cost money?

No. You pay only when you board. Leaving or missing a bus never deducts a fare.

Can a valid tallinja card get an inspection fine in the game?

No. A valid paid ticket or personalised tallinja card always passes. The fine applies only to the separately confirmed ticketless choice.

Is the countdown a real Malta bus timetable?

No. It shows the seconds your game character waits. Real travel information belongs to Malta Public Transport.
