Aboard your boat in Malta Living: a yacht deck of your own

Want a yacht game where the boat is more than a picture? In Malta Living, the free life sim you play in your browser, you can now go aboard the boat you own. Her deck is a room of its own on the open sea, and everything on it is yours to use.

How to go aboard

Go to where your boat berths: Msida Marina, Portomaso Marina, the Birgu Waterfront on the Grand Harbour, or Mġarr in Gozo. Tap her in the marina, or tap Go aboard on her card. The quay fades away and you're on her deck, out on the water. Tap ✕ to step back onto the quay.

What's aboard

Each boat has what a boat like her would have:

• A superyacht: sun pads with towels, a bar where a crew member pours you a drink, and a jacuzzi. The crew member talks: "Something cold?" as you come aboard, and a word after each thing you do.
• A motor yacht: a sun pad and a table for a snack in the shade.
• A sailboat: a sun pad on the bow and the cockpit's seats.
• A RIB or a luzzu: her seats, to sit back and watch the water.

Each one is a tile in the panel under her deck, with what it does: the sun pads for Fun and a doze, the jacuzzi for Fun and Hygiene, the bar for Fun and Social. They're all free. It's your boat.

A slower kind of play

The deck is the calm side of owning a boat. You don't need a plan or a crew of friends: go aboard after a shift, lie on the sun pads while the harbour goes gold, then soak in the jacuzzi before heading home. A use takes a few seconds and tops up your needs like anything at home, without leaving the water. On a superyacht the crew member keeps you company at the bar, so even a quiet evening aboard has someone to talk to. It's also the best place to show a new boat off: friends at the marina can see her at her berth, and soon they'll come aboard too.

Only yours

Only you can use your boat's deck, and only at her own berth. While she's moored at your home's jetty, go aboard at a berth instead. Friends come aboard with her party: see boat parties.
