Bring a friend when it helps: one offer a day, never pushy

By

Games are better with someone, and the best time to invite a friend to a life sim is when one would actually help. In Malta Living, the free life sim you play in your browser, you can now do that at those moments: when you're short of money for a home, or at a milestone like a new home, residence, a car or a rank.

A home plan short of money: the You need more sum, then a Bring a friend strip: you get €750, they get €250, with Invite a friend and Not now

One offer, at most once a day

When the "you need more" card shows on a home you can't afford yet, a small strip under it says: "Bring a friend: you get €750, they get €250." After a real milestone, such as a new home, residence, a car or a rank, its share pop-up shows the same offer as one quiet line under its Share button. It appears at most once a day on your phone, never in the first minute of a visit, and Not now closes it. Invite a friend opens the Invite app, where your link is (from a milestone's pop-up it shares your link right there).

The rewards are the ones you already know

Nothing new is paid. Your friend gets a €250 welcome gift as they arrive in Malta. You get €250 once they've played 10 minutes, and €500 more on day 7, once they have played 4 of their first 7 days. It's game euros only, and it never turns into cash. The limits are the usual ones: 3 paid friends a month and 20 in all. When you've reached the month's three, the strip says when the next opens instead of showing an Invite button.

See how far each friend has got

In Invite, each friend you've brought has a line under their name: how far they are to your next reward, like "2 of 4 days · €250 paid · €500 on day 7". The €500 pays on day 7, not on the fourth day, because it counts the first week. When it pays you get the notice as before.

Why now, and not always

An invite lands best when a friend would help, so the offer waits for a reason. Being short for a home is one, and a milestone reached is another. It never shows in your first day or in the first minute of a visit, and you won't see it twice in a day. If you'd rather not, Not now is one tap. Friends who arrive from your link land as they always have, with the welcome gift.
