Tell the team what to build: our pinned post on Gossip

Want to suggest game features and know someone actually read them? From today the Malta Living team talks on Gossip, the island's feed on your phone. We've pinned one post that asks a simple question: what would you love us to build next? Reply with your idea, and we answer right there in the thread. New to the game? One line above Hot

The team's pinned post takes one slim line at the top of Gossip, with the team's flag, the start of the post and how many replies it has. It sits just above the Hot post, so the island's talk isn't pushed out of the way. Tap the line and the full post opens with its thread.

There's only ever one pinned post, and a pin lasts 7 days at most. We won't send a notification to everyone when we pin something: Gossip's own badge is enough.

Ideas, sorted by what people like

Every reply to the team's post is an idea. The thread opens on Top ideas, the ones with the most ❤️ first, so the best suggestions float up even when there are hundreds. Newest is one tap away if you want to see what just came in. Ideas load 30 at a time, with Show more ideas at the bottom.

Tap ❤️ under any idea you like; tap it again to take it back. You can't heart your own, so the top of the list is what other players want too.

When the team answers

The team writes as one voice, the Malta Living Team with its blue tick, never as a person's own account. Our answers sit in blue right under the idea they answer, so you can follow the conversation. And when we've read an idea, it gets a small green stamp: ✓ Seen by the team.

You don't have to keep checking. When the team answers your idea or your post, it comes through Gossip's usual reply notice and lands in 🔔 Activity: "Malta Living Team replied to your post". A Seen by the team stamp shows in Activity too, so you know you were heard.

Got something to say outside the pinned post? Write @MaltaLivingTeam in any Gossip post or comment. Every tag reaches the team's list in the Control Room, so nothing slips past us, and we'll answer in the thread when we can.

For longer ideas, bug reports and votes, the community site is still the place: it keeps a roadmap of what's planned and what's shipped.

Keeping a busy thread readable

A big thread can get noisy. On busy days we may turn on slow replies: one reply every 2 minutes each. If you try sooner, the box tells you how long to wait, for example "you can add another in 1 min 40 s". We can also close replies when a thread has run its course; it stays there to read.

Gossip's usual rules still apply: be kind, no phone numbers, emails or links, and five posts an hour. Only the team's own posts can carry a link, so a link on Gossip always comes from us. If a moderator removes a reply, it leaves a quiet dashed line, "Removed by a moderator", so the thread still makes sense. Reports of the team's own posts go to admins, not volunteer moderators; read more about moderators and reports.

What we're asking first

Our first pinned post asks how you're finding the game and what you'd love next: running a bar with friends, a ride on the ferry to Gozo, pets at parties, anything. We'll build a few of the favourites. Gossip itself is explained in our guide to friends, clubs and Gossip, and every app on your phone is in the phone's apps.

It means someone on the Malta Living team has read your idea. You'll see the stamp under the idea and in your 🔔 Activity.

Why can't I reply again straight away?

The thread may have slow replies on: one reply every 2 minutes each, to keep a busy thread readable. The box shows how long to wait.

Who writes as the Malta Living Team?

The team's admins, as one shared voice. Volunteer moderators can't post as the team, and every team post and reply is logged with who wrote it.
