Regular of the week: the award for showing up and playing together
Malta Living now has a most active player award, and it isn't about who has the most money or who leaves the game open longest. Each Monday the Regular of the week goes to the player who showed up on the most days and did the most with other people. You'll find them at the top of Bonġu!'s Top 10 tab, in a gold card of their own. New to the game? Start with our guide to the Malta life simulator.

Why a Regular, and not the richest
The Top 10 has always ranked net worth. That's fun, but it rewards one kind of player. The island is really about the people who come back every day, throw the parties, sit down for a game of Ludo and keep Gossip going. The Regular of the week is for them, and it sits above the richest list, so the tab is about showing up too.
How it's counted
The week runs Monday to Sunday, Malta time.
- Days you played. Every day you actually did something in the game counts, up to seven. Logging in and leaving the game open doesn't. Minutes online never count.
- Things you did with other people. Up to three a day count:
- a party you hosted that someone came to, or one you came to;
- a game of Ludo or Bixkla finished with another player at the table, a Tombla round another player was in, or a friend's bet settled;
- a Gossip post or reply of yours that someone else replied to or gave a ❤️.
The most days wins. If that's a tie, the most things together wins, then whoever played with the most different people, then whoever got there first. You need at least three days and one thing with someone to be in the running.
Games against the computer, and anything with the island's residents, are fun but don't count: it has to be with another player. Three a day is the most that counts, so a marathon of quick games on one evening won't beat someone who turned up all week.
What the Regular gets
- A badge on their profile, 🏅 Regular of the week, first among their badges, with ×2, ×3 and so on for more weeks.
- A shout-out from the team on Gossip.
- A notice on Monday morning when it's theirs.
There's no money in it, and there never will be. It's a thank-you for being part of the island.
Your own week
Under the gold card you'll see your own week so far, like "You: 5 of 7 days · 2 together". Tap it for a short reminder of how it's counted. The team can't win, and nor can anyone who has hidden themselves from the Top 10 in Settings, so the card says so instead.
Ideas for a good week
Throw a small house party and invite a few friends. Sit down for Ludo, Tombla or Bixkla with someone instead of the computer. Post something on Gossip people want to answer, or tell the team what to build in its pinned post. And catch up with friends and clubs as you go: our guide to friends, clubs and Gossip has the rest.
It's a bit like the familiar faces of every village's festa: the place is better because they keep turning up. Play Malta Living free in your browser and see your name in gold next Monday.
