Share your daily puzzle: a numbered result with no spoilers
Finish today's word and you can now share your daily puzzle in one tap. In Malta Living, the free life sim you play in your browser, Daily Word is one five-letter word a day, the same for everyone on the island. When you've solved it, the blue button under your grid says Share #19: today's number, not just "Share".

What gets sent
Your result goes out as coloured squares, with the puzzle's number and, from two days in a row, your run of days:
🔤 Malta Living Daily Word #19 3/6 🔥5
Blue squares are letters in the right place, orange are in the word somewhere else, grey are not in it. There is never a letter in what you send, so nobody's day is spoiled. A friend who taps the link lands on the same puzzle, because the link carries the number as well as your name.
Who you know solved it
Under the button you'll see a strip: "12 people you know solved today's", with the three who needed the fewest tries and how many more there are. It only counts people you already know (your contacts, and anyone who is Friends or closer) and only today's word. It shows their usernames and tries, never their letters.
The daily hunt shares too
Find the Maltese cross in the daily hunt and Earn → Daily hunt now says how it went: "Found it in 3 trips", where you came on the island and how many found it today. It has its own Share #N button. What it sends is the number, your trips and your place on the island. It never says where the cross was, so tomorrow's players still have the whole map to search.
What your friend sees
The link opens the same puzzle for them. If they don't play yet, they see your result as coloured squares (never a letter), the rules in a line and "Can you beat that?", over a free sign-up. In a chat the link shows a picture drawn for it: the puzzle's number and "Can you beat @you?", with no answer on it. After they sign up, the game opens on that puzzle with your line over it, "@you solved today's in 3. Beat that?", and when they finish it says how they did against you. Open a link a few days later and it still shows the puzzle that was shared, up to a week back.
You get a note in Messages when someone joins through your share, naming the surface. The welcome gift and the limits are the usual ones for invites, so there's nothing extra to earn or to pay.
Free, and nothing extra to pay
Sharing doesn't pay anything extra and costs nothing. A friend who joins through your link counts as an invite, with the same welcome and the same limits as any other shared link in the game. There's nothing about betting or the casino on a share.
If you've not solved today's word yet, there's no Share button: it appears when you finish, so nobody posts a half-played grid. Offline, Share copies the text and says so, and you can paste it anywhere. The line before the squares is in Maltese when the game is.
The idea is the one behind Wordle's famous squares: a result you can post anywhere without giving the answer away. Questions people ask
Does sharing my Daily Word result give away the answer?
No. It sends coloured squares, a number and your run of days, never a letter. Anyone can read it and still have the whole puzzle to solve.
Who counts as "people you know" under my result?
Your contacts, and anyone you are Friends or closer with. Only people who solved today's word count, and you see their usernames and tries.
What does my friend see when they open my link?
Your result as coloured squares, never a letter, and the puzzle's number, over a free sign-up. After signing up they land on the same puzzle with your line, and it tells them how they did against you.
Can I share the daily hunt?
Yes. Once you've found the cross, Earn → Daily hunt shows how it went and a Share button. It never says where the cross was.
